Day 63 :: #100HappyDays

Day 63

When I first met, Alok Ji, Laxmi and Ashish Ji, of the Stop Acid Attack organization, the first thing that struck me was, how cool and how grounded they were. I guess I was expecting someone turned bitter without recourse – because of how the world has treated them and how it is now just being a silent spectator in their journey to rehabilitation, when clearly the world owes them so much more.

But they are the most positive people I have ever met. Some people are so pure, so beautiful inside, that when you’re with them, your bleak view of the world starts to evaporate and from underneath, a better, more promising view of the world starts to shine through.

The team is now in Udaipur – the city of lakes. To launch their new Sheroes Cafe there. If you are in Udaipur, or happen to visit it ever, please do visit Sheroes Cafe as well.

Trust me, I do not exaggerate one bit, when I say this – you will come back as a better, happier version of yourself.

All the best Team Sheroes. Love now and forever.

Day 62

Okay… It’s more like a ‪#‎happy‬ week. With both my boys’ birthdays coming up and of course, the book launch, on my son’s birthday 😀

I almost chuckled out loud, when Facebook reminded me this morning that I have an event coming up this week – my book launch.

Of course it’s just doing its job. It has no way of knowing that I don’t need a reminder. That for the last one week I have been packing, sorting, putting ensembles together, trying my latest cache of shoes to see which ones to carry, following up on the invites, and checking on the venue arrangements…. and of course, barely sleeping at all because my mind is too zinged with all the excitement.

What a sweet sensation, this. The culmination of a dream long cherished. The happiness of knowing those who care for you the most will be there to cheer for you.

What more could one ask for? 🙂

Day 61

I start an important journey of my life today. And I can never be grateful enough, to all my friends and family who have supported, and continue to support, me through this. Especially, the friends in the writing community – most of whom, it is hard to believe that I only know for the last one year- the way you all have helped me become the writer that I am today.

This journey, this book, this writer…nothing would be the same without your love and encouragement. I hope that you all can join me tonight, as Readomania unveils the cover page of my upcoming novel.

This promises to be a ‪#‎HappyHappyHappy‬ day. 🙂

Day 60

Don’t worry, I hadn’t forgotten about the series. It’s just that travelling and a few other events got in the way. The last few days have, in fact been, so fabulous, that I would need to write separate blog posts about it, to capture all its awesomeness.

But today’s post comes on many other accounts. Everywhere I look today, I am seeing hard work and dedication of friends and fellow authors bearing fruit.

Kanchana Banerjee revealed the glorious cover of her upcoming book yesterday. Sriram Subramanian ‘s much awaited Rain has hit the Amazon stands. Ayan Pal is in Bangalore currently promoting his debut novel. And I am busy sending invites for my online cover launch and the book launch event in Delhi.

There is so much activity – good, positive activity happening all around me, writing wise. And on top of that the weather is just too good to be true.

Result, is a ‪#‎happy‬ me.
