Day 13 :: #100HappyDays

#100HappyDays
Day 13
Vani Joshi, was a year senior to me in school. She was one of those all-rounder students who are everyone’s favorite. She sure was mine. I was in awe of her. I think I imitated her in everything, quite poorly I am sure. But then, as always, we lost touch after school, until the magic that is Facebook connected us. We interacted through our posts and stayed updated on each other’s life of course.
But today I finally took the plunge and pinged her for a chat. We’ve been chatting all day today, and ended it by exchanging numbers for a phone call on Sunday.
She is still as awesome as she was all those years ago, in fact only better. She is a theater artist, an athlete, a singer and a pianist and of course a Super Mom. And I realized, I still am the same ‘Jabra Fan’ of hers that I was all those years ago.
And that’s what I am #Happy about and #Thankful for today.
For life, making us cross paths again, with people we left behind unintentionally. For people like Vani, who are just so awesome and so comfortable to come back to even after eighteen years. For happiness that comes in all kinds of surprise packages, like a day long Facebook chat.
Yes. It has been a #Happy day. And I am #Thankful for all it came with. 🙂
